This training was written by the speech and language therapy service in the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The session will support practitioners working with early years children to explore gender differences in language learning.

 

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Have an increased awareness of the gender differences in brain development and language acquisition.
  • Develop an understanding of the influencing factors in gender differences in language development.
  • Be able to consider best practice for supporting boys' language learning in your setting.

Target Audience / Prerequisites:

The session is open to practitioners working in nurseries, pre-schools, schools and childminders

If you attend training without having a place booked in your name then unfortunately you will not be recorded as attending and will not receive a certificate or evaluation.
