Staffordshire Early Years Practitioner Hub - Terms

Delegates are responsible for ensuring they have read the Staffordshire Early Years Charging Policy. Courses and events hosted by Staffordshire County Council are funded but cancellations on the day of an event or delegates who do not attend without having informed the service, could be charged.

  • Events and e-learning are purely for practitioners (includes childminders and assistants) who are employed and work in a Staffordshire (County Council area) based early years setting or school.

  • Practitioners booked (delegates) onto events can cancel their own booking by logging into their account at the earliest opportunity to avoid charges and to free up the place: https://staffseytraining.event-booking.org.uk/login

  • A replacement can be sent by the early years setting in place of the original delegate, but the replacement MUST be registered and booked onto the event. To change delegates for an event contact ey.adminsupport@staffordshire.gov.uk

  • Delegates who attend events that they have not booked onto will not be recorded on the register and will not receive an evaluation or certificate.

  • Setting Managers, EY Leads, childminders or headteachers will be informed when a delegate does not attend.

  • There is no guarantee that a practitioner who accesses an event with not having booked on will be allowed to attend, particularly if the event is fully booked.

  • Early years settings must not block book places for single events. A maximum number of places that practitioners from a single setting can attend will normally be advertised for each event.

  • Staffordshire County Council reserves the only right to refuse or remove delegates from events or access to the platform. Abuse, such as continued non attendance and not cancelling booking, or false information provided by delegates could result in the suspension or removal of the account and access to the platform and its events.

Certificates and evaluation

Delegates should be aware that all not all courses have certificates attributed to them. But for courses that have certificates, they will be issued as follows:

  • Delegate has attended of the entire duration of the event / course.
  • Certificates will only be released on completion of a post event evaluation form.
  • In the days following completion of an event/course, delegates will be notified to login to their account to complete the online evaluation. Upon completion delegates will be able to download their certificate of attendance.
